Pinays in the Arts 2019

What is Pinay in the Arts?

Pinays in the Arts, or PITA for short,  is hosted by Kappa Psi Epsilon, Beta Chapter at San Francisco State University. PITA is an annual event held every spring semester to empower and connect Filipinas that aspire to pursue a career or to express themselves artistically.

When is it?

The event will be held at San Francisco State University’s Jack Adams Hall on  Friday, March 15th, 2019. The doors for the event open at 6PM and the event starts at 6:30PM.

How can people support?

You can support us by going to the event! Tickets are on sale at forourancestors.squarespace.com for $12 or you can buy your tickets at the door for $15.

Whose performing?

Our list of performances include Jenn Clemena, Amianan Daus-Magbual, Kim Davalos, Versoul and Astralogik.

What made you decide to organize something like this?

I wanted to organize something like this because I feel it so important to create spaces where we are able to connect with one another and embrace our culture. An event like this has the potential to influence college students to feel confident in their creative aspirations and I think that finding a place where you feel validated for your dreams is so important.
